These original, one-off pieces of art were created on a daily basis from my Inkvent Calendar, a countdown to Christmas containing 25 newly-created coloured inks. Working with British ink company Diamine, the calendar is the first of its kind anywhere in the world, launched in September 2019.
Throughout each day of December, I drew one of mine and Leigh's favourite quotes rendered in that day's ink.
Done in one take, at the same same size, on the same paper, in whatever lettering I fancied, these quotes are from our collection of things said by people we know, friends, colleagues; people we admire, and which we use every day, like almost like mantras or a code of conduct whenever we find ourselves stuck, going down a rabbit hole or confused.
I also disallowed scanning, too - these pieces were photographed my iPhone, mostly in daylight, and therefore no tweaking or cleaning-up was possible. They are all signed and dated, on A3 sized 300gsm cartridge paper, 297mm x 420mm.

The original pieces are now for sale, with all profits going to Help The Homeless Leicester, a voluntary organisation looking after the homeless based in my home city.
Postage is by Royal Mail, and sent in a sturdy tube.
