An ink-on-paper illustration taken from Harpercollins' special hardback edition of Emily Brontë's 'Wuthering Heights', published on the 200th anniversary of her birth.
The location of Top Withens has long been thought to be the locational inspiration for the site of the fictional 'Wuthering Heights', though the building itself bears no resemblance to Emily's description.
This illustration integrated parts of both, to suggest the juxtaposition of the brutal remoteness and internal cosiness* of the Earnshaw family home in winter.
*[spoiler] Well, until Mr Earnshaw dies, that is...
